When you walk by our Black Shop on 144 Adelaide St, the first thing you notice is the glass cabinet displaying enormous slabs of our famous Rocky Road. Those ones may be for display only, but they’re representative of the atmosphere we pride ourselves on: fresh, homemade, local, ethical products made with passion for chocolate. More Rocky Road can be seen in a display along the glass wall, and you’ll likely see our staff cutting and packaging it fresh in front of you.

From strawberries to ginger to macadamias, you’ll be spoiled for choice when faced with our choice of fresh fruits and nuts coated in handmade chocolate, both in 100g packets and loose in bulk. We even stock some more unusual homemade specialties, such as honeycomb made with a family recipe from the 1920s, peanut butter popcorn crunch or macadamia brittle. Whether you’d prefer to pick a few packets as part of our 3-for-$12 deal, or make your own mix with your personal favourites – and our friendly staff will happily offer suggestions – we promise you won’t be disappointed. The Dark Chocolatier, at 156 Adelaide St, is our cafe where you can try a delicious array of chocolaty treats alongside a homemade hot drink. Our experienced baristas use high quality local coffee beans, hand-roasted in Brisbane by Fonzie Abbott, and we alternate blends based on how their tastes vary every day. Along with a huge variety of coffees and teas, you can also choose one of our hot chocolates, made with real Noosa Chocolate Factory milk, white or dark chocolate (a common favourite is Turkish Delight) or even fresh Rocky Road! With a warm, vibrant atmosphere, The Dark Chocolatier is the perfect meeting place or chilled quiet space for when you need something tasty.

Also specialising in panned chocolate, The Dark Chocolatier stocks many exotic or unusual chocolate slabs full of seasonal fruit and nuts. From Valencia orange jelly in dark chocolate to milk coconut rough to white pistachio slabs, our constant rotation of stock means you’ll always be excited to see what magical invention the factory has created this time.
